The artisans of Creatively Maine believe in strong communities and giving back to the people in them. Shopping small and supporting each other is a two-way street. In 2014, the Creatively Maine pop up shop donated both money and non-perishable foods to our local Bucksport Food Pantry. We also raised money for the Waldo County Woodshed hosting an online auction which supplied 8 families with ¼ cord of wood when they had exhausted their supply. Most recently, our group hosted another online auction and was pleased to raise $200 to gift to a local business owner's family in the wake of the tragedy of a house fire. We are not a charity organization, but when we ask for our communities to invest in us by shopping with us, we feel the responsibility to be a part of that community.
To that end, we have several initiatives in the planning stages for this season's shop and are working hard to execute them. Once our plans are finalized, we will announce them here. Please, check back.
